(1) Create & maintain suitable habitats for various fish and aquatic plants; (2) Oversee the upkeep of tanks containing fish and aquatic plants; (3) Clean tanks regularly; (4) Check pumps, filters, and heaters to ensure they are operating properly; (5) Fix problems with equipment; (6) Closely monitor water quality parameters, PH level, and ammonia level to maintain optimal condition for the inhabitants; (7) Provide appropriate nutrition for the organisms feeding them specific diets tailored for their needs; (8) Monitor the health of fish and diagnose illness or injuries; (9) Manage nutrition and propagation plans; (10) Administer food and vitamins to fish in their care; (11) Engage in breeding, ensuring the successful reproduction of species within the aquarium; (12) Maintain beneficial bacteria within the aquarium; (13) Remove unwanted algae (identifying unwanted algae in the aquarium tank); (14) Monitor and maintain water conditions, such as temperature, PH level, salinity, and oxygen level; (15) Write reports on tan conditions, water quality, and animal health; and (16) Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
